Galactics International Soccer Festival 2007 - Event Story
The Galactics International Soccer Festival 2007 was thought up by the Galactics Board of Directors in March of this year. The concept grew from the realization that there were no Over-40 World Championships and that hosting international Over-40 teams of former professional soccer players in a sort of Masters World Cup Tournament would be a great future establishment, befitting the big picture of the Galactics Dream.
Thus, the idea was introduced to invite former professional soccer players from various different countries to participate in a one of a kind exhibition game; to create an exciting atmosphere and to introduce professional and international soccer to the Clearwater and Tampa Bay area. The festival came to revolve around a never-before-seen team of twenty famous soccer stars from no less than ten different countries with a purpose to bring everyone together in a mulit-cultural setting to promote American and International soccer and local community spirit.
On December 1st, we give you the Galactics International Soccer Festival 2007; a first step toward one of the star-high goals of the Galactics Dream. |
