Weekly Report Galactics
From May 18 on, players - Birahim Diop, Martin Klinger, Marvin Arzu and Charly De Souza are going to resume regular practice; these players where in the process of recuperation from their injuries. We expect, Andres Restrepo to be ready for practice by next Tuesday, after recuperation from a muscular contracture.
Lat week Galactics played two preparation games. The team worked on collective ideas and tried different types of formations, in case of an emergency in the upcoming Nationals.
The first game was played Tuesday against RSL U-18; Galactics won the game 4:2. The second game was Wednesday against the U23 Florida State Select team; Galactics lost this game 0:1.
We would like to express our feelings of gratitude for our rivals, who are excellent teams that compete at a high level. These games help our team a lot, because they provide a really good demand competitively.
Now that the conditioning weeks are over, the coaches are going to use Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for tactic adjustments and strategies for the upcoming competitions.
Thursday, Galactics is going to leave to Jacksonville, Florida, for the USASA Region III Finals. The team will play its first game on Friday.
A coach meeting will take place Thursday night; in the meeting the following will be defined: groups, schedules and hours of games.
I would like to invite everyone to come see the games at Orange Park in Jacksonville. If you cannot come, just send us positive energy from the distance to support our team in the conquest of our immediate goals, which is, to qualify for the Lamar Hunt Cup and to play the National Final in Seattle, Washington.
