Filled with joy over the latest triumphs achieved during this season (Suncoast Division 1 Champions, Florida Champions and Florida State Cup Champions), Galactics I resumes activity after a deserved 3-day break, now focusing on playing teams that qualified for the Region 3 from different states, such as Texas, North and South Carolina and Georgia.
There is a strong motivation in the Galactics I team for the challenges that this new competition brings . Playing the National Championship final in Seattle, Washington, and competing in the Lamar Hunt Cup are the two specific goals set for the Galactics I team at this point.
The entire team practiced intensely this past Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Head Coach, Oscar Libreros, has prepared 3 weeks of training and 3 scrimmage games with different regional teams before competing in Jacksonville, FL, from May 23-26.
During this week, physical and health trainer, Mauricio Rodriguez, a man with many years of experience in Colombian professional soccer, joined the Galactics 1 coaching staff. Welcome to Galactics!
