Galactics O40, our Masters Team, played a great game against Broward Select in Coral Springs on Sunday, April 6th.  With a typical Galactics score of 6:1, the Masters won the first game in the FSSL O40 Cup of the Florida State Cup 2008.

Both our team as well as the opposing team had former professional players in their ranks.  The very competitive Broward Select compares with local teams, Carrollwood and Chargers, in terms of playing level and they came prepared to beat Galactics.

But, after unrelenting pressure from Galactics forwards, Ralf Gerhardt and Carlos Araujo, from the start, and 2 goals in the first half, Galactics O40 prooved to be the superior team.  With 4 more goals in the second half and a special cameo appearance of Galactics President, Jose Serrano, who came into the game towards the end of the second half, the game was won with ease.
